Jul 05, 2012
Beverly, Massachusetts (June 1, 2012)— On Friday, Governor Deval Patrick, a major advocate of clean energy, attended a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Cummings Center corporate campus in recognition of their new solar installation. The property, which has achieved three Energy Star Certifications from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, hosts a variety of energy conservation technologies, such as efficient light fixtures, gas burners, and an electric car charging station.
Standing in front of a crowd of over 200 attendees Gov. Patrick, whose administration has been working to make Massachusetts a vanguard of green living community models, announced, “I stand before you proudly to endorse Cummings Center and the whole Cummings organization for their exceptional business stewardship.”

The ceremony was held on the top floor of West Garage showcasing an array of solar panels consisting of NESL’s 295 Watt mono modules, some of the top performing panels in terms of efficiency, power tolerance, and STC/PTC ratios. During the installation process, NESL was able to work closely with Cummings’ project team and provided cost effective custom solutions to meet their needs. This is the first phase of a 650KW system.
“For this project, Cummings Properties needed a top quality module that would fit a specially engineered racking system,” states Gary Gresh, Sustainability Manager at Cummings. “NESL was able to provide its high efficiency mono modules with custom mounting points engineered into the frame to fit our design needs. NESL really went the extra mile to save us time while still delivering an attractively priced product.”
“We pride ourselves on our ability to adapt to our customers,” said Alex Liu, President of NESL USA. “Our products are solid and perform extremely well as high quality panels, although we seek to do more than just sell. Each of our clients presents us with unique requirements and limitations. In order to meet these demands we have to adapt and modify, and in the process, we open the doors to new methods of implementation and innovation. In the end, our customer’s success is our success.”
Since 2005, NESL has worked on the research, development, manufacturing, and marketing of PV technology products. NESL’s product line includes a variety of residential, commercial, and utility panels, as well as ACPV and BIPV modules (www.neslusa.com). Besides their North American clients, NESL also serves customers in Australia, Asia, and Europe.
